How Manson is, and will continue to, proactively respond to COVID-19 in our workplace, jobsites and on our vessels.
UPDATE - April 2, 2020
Manson’s regional offices, work sites and maritime projects continue to respond to federal, state and local proclamations and directives issued in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including “Emergency Work at Home” “Shelter in Place” “Stay Home - Stay Safe” “Emergency Non-Essential Business Closure.”
Manson is an Essential Business whose Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce members are performing Energy Sector, Transportation and Logistics, Public Works and Infrastructure Support Services, and Defense Industrial Base projects throughout the United States.
We will continue social distancing and sanitation measures to keep our team members and their families healthy and to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Manson’s people are its highest priority; protecting them and providing clear direction and guidance to address their concerns. We continue our focus on meeting the needs of our partners, clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders without compromising the health, safety and well-being of the communities we serve. We are taking proactive measures to reduce the spread and “flatten the curve” of this disease.
We continue to closely follow the communications and recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), state-run labor and employment departments, federal, state and city governments, and state and local health departments where we conduct business.
We have formed a dedicated COVID-19 response task force of senior leaders and representatives from all areas of the Company. The task force addresses daily updates, enacts business continuity plans and preventive measures for all offices, jobsites and vessels and manages an internal information hub to maintain and share current COVID-19 information and resources, best practices, and guidance for our team members.
We have implemented aggressive protocols on the recommended personal hygiene and workplace sanitation practices; performed risk assessments to identify the essential work force; established employee illness and exposure notification; established stay at home and work from home requirements and implemented wide-spread telework options; established COVID-19 screening processes for all vessels; and imposed essential travel evaluations and travel restrictions.
As we all continue to watch and monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, we give special recognition to all of our Manson team members who take care of each other, our partners, clients, subcontractors, other stakeholders, and the communities in which they live and work. We are adapting and committed to staying informed and responsive during this pandemic.
We will continue to share updates through our website at www.mansonconstruction.com and on our LinkedIn.
Sincerely,
John A. Holmes
